First steps towards making the decision

Monday, October 21, 2013, we met with Dr. McCoy for an IVF consult. We went into this meeting thinking we were going to have to ask many questions. However, it was the opposite. Dr. McCoy answered all of our questions without us having to ask them. He was very informative and actually set our minds at ease.

On Tuesday, October 22nd, I had blood work done to ensure that my ovaries still have plenty of eggs left. This will determine how aggressive we go about our IVF cycle.

On Thursday, October 24th, we went to an IVF Seminar in Jacksonville, FL. The seminar was free of charge and offered the chance to win a free IVF cycle. Though we didn't win the free IVF, we did receive even more information about IVF, the process, statistics and even prenatal vitamins. At the end of the seminar, every couple was given a $500 voucher towards any fertility treatment at the FIRM. This was definitely unexpected and greatly appreciated!
